Volunteering abroad programs

Disability Rights and Inclusion Specialist

Location: Turkey

Starting date: November 25, 2024  |  Duration: 12 months (could be extended)

A significant percentage of people are living a difficult life because of disabilities, varying in intensity. The United Nations agency dedicated to working on development across the world – UNDP, proactively works to safeguard people facing discrimination, inequality, and injustice because of their disabilities. They are also at risk of exploitation and inhumane, isolation, and other regressive attitudes that affect their psyche, confidence, and general well-being. Such experiences also traumatize them enough to keep them away from the mainstream.

The UN volunteer will be supervised by a Policy Specialist on the Rule of Law, Security, and Human Rights, in the Governance and Peacebuilding Team. For details related to responsibilities and more, you can visit the official website of the UN volunteers.
